WG-USA, by its membership in Graduate Women International (formerly IFUW), provides opportunities for member participation on a variety of issues. Graduate Women International (GWI) advocates for women’s rights, equality and empowerment through access to quality secondary and tertiary education, and training up to the highest levels. Our vision is 100% of girls and women in the world achieving education beyond primary school.

We have national affiliates in 60+ countries and individual members in more than 40 others. Join our international advocacy and grant programmes and learn how you can become part of an international network of women working for change.

GWI is in special consultative status with ECOSOC and is an NGO maintaining official relations with UNESCO.

WG-USA and the UN

WG-USA, by its membership in Graduate Women International, provides opportunities for member participation at the  United Nations on a variety of issues. These involve United Nations (UN) Agreements, UN Conventions and Declarations, and UN policy discussions relating to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) which end in 2015, the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, and the Beijing Platform for Action (Beijing +20).
