| WG-USA's application for formal endorsement as the National Affiliate or Federation (NFA) representing the United States within the International Federation of University Women (IFUW) is still awaiting full recommendation of the Membership Committee. We do hope for approval by the end of the summer, though! |

WG-USA Status Update |
| The organizing WG board has met once face to face in October to approve Articles of Incorporation in the State of Iowa, Bylaws, and elect the organizing officers. Subsequently a bank account was established and dues and contributions are now being received. This organizing group will meet again in New York in mid-April with a program consultant to develop a program outline, and to formulate an approach to creating activities for the organization. An application for tax-deductible status is in progress. |

First Annual General Meeting (AGM) |
| The first Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held in Des Moines in October. Exact dates and locations will be posted on the WG website (www.wg-usa.org) after the April meeting. The first national election of officers will be held at the 2009 AGM. |

WG-USA Membership Update |

To date (3-25-08) there are 99 paid members. Membership pins have just arrived and will be mailed to the first 1001 Charter Members to join. We hope to add your name to this list. We have your membership information and only require your dues to establish you as a member in good standing. They are $50, payable to WG-USA. PS: Paid Independent Members of IFUW are eligible for WG-USA membership without payment of additional dues. They need only supply an application (on the website) to supply WG with the necessary personal information. |
