How to use the Calendar:
There are 3 tabs at the top of right of each calendar: Month displays activities for a month at a glance, Agenda displays events day-by-day for one month from the current date.

Use the side scroll bars to scroll DOWN the calendar. Use the left (<) and right (>) icons at the top of each calendar to move from month to month. Click on individual events for more information. If there is an address, you can click on >Map for directions .

Meetings

The Annual General Meeting will take place at the Hotel Pattee at Perry, Iowa on Friday, October 17-19, 2008.  For those who wish to participate in the World Food Prize they may consider arriving earlier in the week.  More complete details of the agenda and arrangements for hotel reservations will be in future issues of The Flame as well as the Web site. 

For those flying to Iowa, you will want to use the Des Moines airport and arrangements will be made for transportation.

Thanks so much for your interest.  Since this is the first General Membership Meeting of Women Graduates-USA, it has potential to be a historic stepping stone for the future. 

The World Food Prize events will be taking place October 15, 16 and 17 in Des Moines, IA.  go to www.worldfoodprize.org for more information. The World Food Prize is the foremost international award recognizing -- without regard to race, religion, nationality, or political beliefs -- the achievements of individuals who have advanced human development by improving the quality, quantity or availability of food in the world. The World Food Prize emphasizes the importance of a nutritious and sustainable food supply for all people. By honoring those who have worked successfully toward this goal, The Prize calls attention to what has been done to improve the world food supply and to what can be accomplished in the future.
