SECOND ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

  1. Welcomed Glenda Hecksher Ramsden, Vice-President of the Mexican Federation of University Women.

  2. Voted in favor of the Proposed Amendments to the Bylaws-2009 as presented by Claire Stein, Bylaws Convener. One amendment to the Proposed Amendments was passed. The proxy votes were counted in the vote.

  3. Heard the report of the results of the election by the Convener of the Teller Committee,Kathleen Magill. The following officers were elected:

    For a 3 year term:

    President- Florine Swanson;

    Coordinator for International Relations- Kathleen Laurila;

    Communications Convener-Louise McLeod

    Public Policy Director-Jeanne Clarke

    For a 2 year term:

    Treasurer, Sema Faigen;

    Program Convener-Janet Heinicke;

    Board Member-at-Large-Barbara Carey;

    Board Member-at-Large-Claire Stein

    For a 1 year term:

    Secretary-Carolyn Cowgill;

    Membership Convener-Fay Weber;

    Board Member-at-Large-Evelyn Cumming

  1. Passed the Resolution that Women Graduates-USA join the more than 200 non-governmental organizations that have endorsed US ratification of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). Alice Dahle agreed to contact the US Working Committee on CEDAW to ask them to post WG-USA to the list.
